Everyone’s skin is different.

We have different skin types and colours, and goals, and some habits that are not skin-friendly – all of which impacts the way our skin behaves, reacts or ages. And with and skincare options out there, understanding and the right plan can be a little bit of a minefield.

If you have mild skin or you’d like to feel more confident in your skin but you’re unsure where to start, a free personalised skin consultation with a specialist or nurse at sk:n can help you gain a deeper understanding of your skin, and which treatment and skincare programmes will get you to the best skin of your life.

What happens in the skin consultation

Our aim is to find out what you love and don’t love about your skin, if you have any particular skin concerns and what your skin goals are. We combine that information with a full skin examination and assessment, so we can create the right and plan for you.

During your consultation, we’ll remove makeup or from so we can fully your skin, including assessing the texture, thickness and colour which could such as acne or pigmentation. Your skin will also be examined under a skin scanner, which can indicate if your skin is healthy, dehydrated, oily, or has sun damage. We will take your before photos, so you can see your progress throughout your treatment plan.

We’ll then discuss your daily and monthly skincare and treatment plan to get the best for you and your skin. We may recommend a number of options chemical peels, or Hydrafacial, and to use at home. Depending on your goals or the severity of your skin concern, we will refer you to a doctor or  nurse. And if you are in injectables as a solution to the signs of ageing, we can also refer you to a doctor or nurse prescriber too.

Your skin will be fully examined for a number of skin concerns, your skin goals will be assessed, and your personalised treatment plan will be . To secure an appointment, we will require a deposit. Your credit or debit card details will be against your . For Practitioner or Nurse consultations we take a fully refundable ( to terms) deposit of £25 and £50 for Doctor led . Please refer to our for more information.

Your skin consultation lasts around minutes. This will allow the practitioner to fully assess your skin and your skin goals, discuss your concerns and create a recommended treatment plan.

The is completely free, but we do require a £25 deposit to secure your consultation. You won’t be if you attend your appointment, or you cancel or move your appointment over 48 hours before your in line with our  policy.​

The cost of your treatment and/or skincare plan will be during your consultation, but treatment can start from £59, depending on your clinic.

Your consultation will be with one of our experienced nurses or practitioners with of the skin. Should you have a more severe skin concern, they can also refer you into a doctor or  if you need to see one. Please note these consultations with a doctor or dermatologist are chargeable and do require a refundable* deposit – please check the consultation price before booking. We can also refer you to a doctor or nurse prescriber for an  consultation if you are concerned about the signs of ageing. These consultations are free, but we do a refundable* £50 to secure your booking. Please check our  for more information.

We will ask you to come makeup free, but feel free to bring some with you to put on after the if you wish.

Our expert skin practitioners will ask a variety of which are to help them create the best plan of action to tackle your skin concern. For example:

You can wear makeup to your appointment, however, we that you come makeup free so that we can spend the maximum amount of time assessing your skin.
